Our engagement in Africa with churches and missionaries has significantly expanded our perspective, providing valuable medical care, community development, and education. Through direct participation, we have addressed healthcare requirements, organised food programmes, and facilitated educational support for children. For instance, assistance provides essential medical care, enabling children and young people to return to school. These experiences continue to motivate us to apply our expertise toward fostering sustainable positive change within communities.

Supporting with medicine and repairing medical units 

By fundraising and supplying urgent medical supplies to the local villages and surrounding areas in the rural parts of The Gambia, Anazao plays a vital role in supporting families who are struggling with extreme poverty. Many young children suffer or even lose their lives simply because they lack access to basic medicines such as antibiotics and paracetamol. Thanks to the generosity of supporters and churches in the UK, Anazao is able to provide this essential medical aid, giving hope and relief to those who would otherwise go without.

What will we be doing?

Our Mission Schedule: 

To further our commitment to improving healthcare access, we are actively raising funds to supply essential medical provisions for three clinics that collectively serve more than 5,000 families in The Gambia. These efforts are crucial in ensuring that communities receive the care they need, especially in areas where resources are extremely limited.

In addition, we aim to enhance the facilities at Giboro clinic by providing a bore hole for clean water, constructing toilets, and installing hand washing stations. These improvements will significantly advance hygiene standards, reduce the risk of disease transmission, and promote overall wellbeing among patients and staff.

Recognising the challenges faced by young girls, we are also dedicated to supplying period pads to enable them to continue attending school throughout the year. This initiative supports educational equality and empowers girls to pursue their studies without interruption caused by lack of access to menstrual products.

It’s remarkable to consider that the cost of a cup of coffee and a slice of cake can provide life-saving antibiotics for a child suffering from malaria or a chest infection in the intense heat of The Gambia. This simple act of generosity truly has the power to save a child’s life, offering hope where there might otherwise be none.


Financial Support

Regular financial support will enable us to continue providing vital medical aid to the most underprivileged communities, who under normal circumstances would not be able to afford such medication. For many families, even a basic medicine like paracetamol to help lower a child’s temperature is well beyond their financial means. Ongoing donations ensure that we can respond swiftly to urgent needs and maintain a steady supply of essential medicines for those who depend on our help.
