Arua 2022 - Anazao

Why Arua?

Situated in the north west of Uganda around 300 miles north of Kampala, Arua is home to over 72,000 people. Arua is close to the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to the west and South Sudan to the north. This makes Arua a strategically important city in terms of business, trade and also for Christian mission. People often travel from DRC and South Sudan to events in Arua and having a base in the city will help to facilitate future work not only in northern Uganda, but also in DRC and South Sudan.

What will we be doing?

1. Crusade

Reach: Thousands

We will be conducting a three day crusade on Arua Grounds with the aim of preaching the gospel to thousands of people.

2. Conference

Reach: Hundreds

Over seven to nine days we will provide teaching and training to those people who have made a commitment to Jesus at the crusade.

3. Church Plant

Reach: Tens

For a period of six to twelve months a team from Uganda will be based in Arua and work with the new converts to establish a church and mission centre.

Who are the team?

Tim Cole

Tim is one of the Trustees / Directors of Anazao. He has a background in both business and full time Christian Ministry. Tim will be leading worship, playing music and speaking.

David Goodchild

David leads The Vine Church in Cranbrook, Kent. He is also a registered nurse. David will be preaching and speaking at the crusade and conference.

Prayer Support

We believe in the power of prayer and we really value your intercessory support. Before, during and after the mission there are number of things we would really appreciate prayer for:

That God will move powerfully and touch the lives of people in Arua through the crusade, conference and church plant
That many people would hear the gospel message and be moved to respond

Financial Support

Anazao is a very small organisation and relies completely on donations. We have done our best to keep costs to a minimum but doing mission costs money! We have already had generous donations to cover our international flights. Other expenses include:

Crusade - approximately £6500
Conference - approximately £3500
Travel in Uganda & accommodation approximately £2000
